Prohibited and Restricted Products Policy
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that their proposed products comply with all legal requirements before listing on the sales platform and are approved for listing and sale in accordance with ZOZOTOWN's terms and policies. For sellers' convenience, ZOZOTOWN provides a non-exhaustive list of prohibited and restricted products below. ZOZOTOWN will update these guidelines from time to time as necessary. Sellers are advised to visit this page regularly for updates.
1. Violation of ZOZOTOWN's Terms of Service
Violation of this "Prohibited and Restricted Products Policy" may result in a series of adverse measures, including but not limited to any or all of the following:
- Deletion of listings or information
- Restriction of account permissions
- Suspension and termination of accounts
- Freezing of account funds, or, if necessary, direct deduction of account funds to compensate ZOZOTOWN for losses
- Legal action
2. List of Prohibited and Restricted Products (subject to updates from time to time; for more information, please refer to the embargo list and logistics guide published on the ZOZOTOWN platform)
(I) Imitation guns, military and police supplies, and dangerous weapons:
1. Firearms, ammunition, munitions, and imitations;
2. Controlled devices that can temporarily incapacitate or cause serious bodily harm to others;
3. Firearms, ammunition, munitions, related equipment, accessories, and ancillary products, as well as imitation crafts;
4. Controlled knives, crossbow accessories, batons, darts, axes, blowguns, knives with bloodletting grooves, and other controlled instruments that could be used to endanger the personal safety of others, as well as stun guns used for personal defense;
5. Self-defense equipment, devices, and facilities such as sprayers and liquid sprayers that could cause harm to the human body;
6. Police and military uniforms, insignia, equipment, and products;
7. Products or information containing religious, racial, or anti-religious content.
(II) Flammable and explosive items, toxic chemicals, and drugs:
1. Flammable and explosive items;
2. Highly toxic chemicals;
3. Drugs, drug manufacturing raw materials, drug manufacturing chemicals, and addictive drugs;
4. Fireworks and firecrackers;
5. Hazardous chemicals prohibited for sale on national or regional lists;
6. Drug inhalation paraphernalia and accessories;
7. Tutorials and books on methods for making flammable and explosive items.
(3) Information that endangers national security, political and social stability:
1. Information that is reactionary, undermines national unity, undermines sovereignty and territorial integrity, undermines social stability, involves state secrets, disrupts social order, promotes terrorism or extremism, incites ethnic hatred, undermines national unity, promotes cults and superstitions, or promotes religious or racial discrimination; or books, audio-visual products, videos, and documents prohibited from publication or distribution by laws and regulations; or books or products that have been explicitly phased out or discontinued by the state;
2. Products or information that damages national honor or reputation, distorts, vilifies, blasphemes, or denies the deeds and spirit of heroes and martyrs, glorifies the history of foreign aggression, or promotes militarism;
3. Political books and periodicals not suitable for domestic distribution, as well as confidential books, audio-visual products, videos, and documents intended for collection;
4. Stamps prohibited by the state, philatelic products produced without the approval of the postal industry regulatory authorities, and postal products issued after 1949 containing the words "Republic of China";
(4) Pornographic, vulgar, and aphrodisiac products:
Pornographic and obscene products, pornographic advertisements, and sexual services
1. Audiovisual products and videos containing pornographic or obscene content; pornographic chat services and solicitation services; accounts and invitation codes for adult website forums;
2. Oral or topical aphrodisiacs and artificial hymens that can cause temporary inability to resist or unconsciousness; "triazolam," "fly powder," "fly water," and other sex toys;
3. Software and images used to disseminate pornographic information; audiovisual products containing erotic, violent, or vulgar content; original underwear and related products;
4. Anime, books, games, and images containing erotic, violent, or vulgar content;
5. Vulgar online content.
(V) Products or services related to personal safety and privacy:
1. Software and equipment used for monitoring, stealing private or confidential information;
2. Equipment used for illegal video recording, audio recording, evidence collection, etc.;
3. ID cards and ID card verification and reading devices;
4. Software, tools, tutorials, and products used to steal or crack account passwords;
5. Personal privacy information and internal corporate data; services providing personal mobile phone location, phone list query, bank account query, etc.;
6. Sale, transfer, or recycling of invalid bank cards or bank cards for collection purposes;
7. Automotive accessories such as seat belt buckles that pose a traffic safety hazard.
(VI) Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices:
1. Psychotropic, anesthetic, toxic, radioactive, stimulant, and family planning drugs; non-drugs containing medicinal ingredients; drugs whose production and use are prohibited by the Drug Administration and publicized by the state (except for the second item in this section);
2. Drugs, blood products, or medical devices used to prevent or treat human diseases; drugs produced or imported without the approval of the drug regulatory authorities, or sold without inspection;
3. Injectable cosmetic products for human use, such as whitening injections, fat-dissolving injections, filler injections, and slimming injections.
(VII) Illegal Services and Tickets:
1. Forgery or alteration of documents, certificates, official seals, anti-counterfeit labels, etc. issued by state organs or specific institutions, as well as services that are only available to state organs or specific institutions;
2. Invoices (and services) that are still usable or intended for reimbursement, usable foreign trade documents, and services for customs declaration, manifests, commodity inspection, and document processing;
3. Answers to official national examinations that have not yet been publicly released;
4. Services related to feudal superstitions such as fortune-telling, salvation, feng shui, and rituals;
5. Illegal automobile agency services;
6. Services related to essay writing and exam proxy services;
7. Products or information that hype blog popularity, website popularity, or voting proxy services;
8. Legal consultation, psychological consultation, financial consultation, online doctor consultation, and related services;
9. Stocks, bonds, and other publicly issued securities;
10. Welfare lottery tickets, sports lottery tickets, and all other types of lottery tickets, except where their transfer validity and circulation are solely for collection purposes.
(VIII) Animals, plants, animal and plant organs, and animal hunting tools:
1. Human organs and remains;
2. Living animals, viscera, any limbs, fur, specimens, or other manufactured products of nationally or regionally protected or endangered animals, and fossils of extinct animals and existing animals under national protection of Class II or higher;
3. Living plants under national protection;
4. Living animals, viscera, any limbs, fur, specimens, or other manufactured products of terrestrial wild animals under national protection or of significant economic or scientific research value;
5. Related equipment and accessories for electric fishing devices;
6. Cat and dog meat, cat and dog fur, shark fins, bear bile, and their products.
(IX) Software, tools, or equipment involving theft and other illegal proceeds and illegal uses:
1. Illegal proceeds from smuggling, theft, robbery, and other illegal activities;
2. Gambling equipment, cheating tools for exams, car stopwatches, and other illegal items;
3. Satellite signal transceivers and software; instruments or equipment used for radio signal shielding;
4. Lock picking tools, lock-picking services, and related tutorials and books;
5. Multiple SIM cards; wireless network cards with freeloading capabilities, and devices that indicate in their descriptions that they can be used for freeloading;
6. Software suspected of fraud or other illegal uses;
7. Products that may be used to evade traffic control;
8. Lights that utilize DC power from telephone lines;
9. All types of text messages, emails, software, and services;
10. Pirated and counterfeit goods;
11. Products or services that infringe on the intellectual property rights and other legal rights of others;
12. Products that users do not have the right to dispose of;
13. Products involved in illegal pyramid schemes.
(10) Commodities that violate national administrative regulations or are unsuitable for trading without permission:
1. Counterfeit or altered currency and printing equipment;
2. Circulating Renminbi, foreign currency, and counterfeit Renminbi and foreign currency;
3. Cultural relics suspected of violating the relevant provisions of the Cultural Relics Protection Law of the People's Republic of China;
4. Tobacco products and tobacco-related machinery;
5. Unauthorized fundraising merchandise;
6. Unauthorized licensed merchandise for the Olympic Games, World Expo, Asian Games, etc.;
7. Cigarette labels, cigarette cases, cigarette cards, and cigarette boxes;
8. Foreign currencies in large circulation and currency exchange services;
9. Logistics documents and numbers for postal parcels, EMS express delivery, and courier services;
10. Commodities subsidized or distributed free of charge by the state that are not transferable privately;
11. Military supplies, goods specifically supplied to state agencies, and special supplies, etc.;
12. Radio stations.
(11) Virtual Goods:
1. Online games, game point cards, currency, and other related service products that have not been registered with the state;
2. Online game products related to cheats and private servers;
3. Game point cards or platform cards that have been officially discontinued;
4. Virtual lottery products;
5. Virtual service products with uncheckable service times;
6. Online account lockout accounts and other types of accounts;
7. iTunes accounts and user top-up products;
8. One-card series products sold at face value under any top-up method;
9. Virtual credit card services;
10. Uncheckable installment phone bill refund products;
11. Internet tariff cards or packages with unlimited time and data usage, uncheckable service times, and SIM cards known as loophole cards, group cards, internal cards, or test cards;
12. Virtual products such as slow-charging cards that cannot be credited within 72 hours;
13. Products consumed by SP businesses;
14. Domain names, email addresses, etc.;
15. Virtual currencies in overseas accounts;
16. Transactions in virtual currencies such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Yuanbao;
17. Computer software and related products, such as: research software—a bank's operating system, a network company's database program, a missile launch program; (unauthorized software) tapes or CDs without registration numbers, shareware; beta or unreleased software; (unauthorized software); OEM software not bundled with equipment; decryption software (for cracking genuine software passwords); software with serial numbers and words such as "cracked" or "pirated"; Mark Six lottery, fortune-telling software, horse racing, and other software that allows for number extraction; upgraded and compressed versions of flash memory storage media;
18. Virtual services, such as insurance services and contracts;
19. Exploiting and circumventing the Internet's firewall, including VPN proxy services.
(XII) Other categories:
1. Products produced by manufacturers without production qualifications or that do not meet national, local, industry, or enterprise mandatory standards;
2. Products identified, announced, or recalled by authoritative quality inspection departments or manufacturers, products explicitly eliminated or discontinued by the state, expired, invalid, or spoiled products, and finished products such as foods, condiments, and skincare products containing poppy seeds;
3. Flash sale tools and related software used to increase the success rate of flash sale sales, and other software or services that disrupt the normal operation of the platform;
4. Products whose product standards, certification marks, ingredients, and contents indicated on the product itself or packaging do not comply with national regulations;
5. Mobile phone direct dial SIM cards and direct dial services, call return SIM cards and call return services;
6. Mobile phone SIM cards with cracking functions;
7. Products prohibited from export;
8. Products requiring authorization from the state or relevant government departments, such as cable television and satellite dishes;
9. Alarm devices that have not been approved by relevant departments or are prohibited from production, sale, or possession;
10. Pagers (including stock, digital, and Chinese-language pagers) with lifetime free service fees (information fees);
11. Products prohibited by other laws and regulations, and products that ZOZOTOWN deems inappropriate for trading on our website.
In addition to the prohibited and restricted products listed above, other products prohibited from entry or exit in the buyer's and/or seller's jurisdiction, any other products that are illegal or restricted, or products that may be used to encourage illegal or restricted activities are also prohibited and restricted. For products requiring special operating licenses, sellers must provide ZOZOTOWN with relevant supporting documents in advance. Sellers are responsible for verifying the buyer's eligibility, and ZOZOTOWN assumes no responsibility or liability for this.
If you see a listing that violates ZOZOTOWN's policies, please report it to ZOZOTOWN by clicking the "Report This Product" or "Report This User" button in the drop-down menu on the product or user page. If a policy violation occurs, ZOZOTOWN will send an email, system message, and push notification to the seller, informing them that the listing has been removed from the ZOZOTOWN website. ZOZOTOWN will also send push notifications to buyers regarding the listing. Please ensure your phone is set up to receive push notifications.
